The American Red Cross of Northern Utah may accept gifts in-kind that are appropriate to our mission. We do not accept donations of food or clothing for people affected by disasters because of the logistical difficulties of storing and delivering these items, and because the opportunity for a person affected by a disaster to shop for new clothes is helpful in the recovery process. For donations of food, we suggest calling your local food bank or soup kitchen. For clothing and household items, contact your local Salvation Army or Goodwill.
Generally, gifts in-kind that we do accept are large quantities of goods direct from a manufacturer, such as blankets or medicine.
